How to use Get Luminance

Eg door and wall contrasts; glazing decals/manifestation

• Hold camera at 90^o to the horizontal.

• Take photo.

• Assess visual contrast.

For glazing strips – take photo both inside and outside to assess safety and amenity of glazing strip. There can be marked differences between inside and outside.

Eg Floor and wall contrast; tactile surface indicators

• Hold phone within typical viewing angle 40^o-50^o.

• Take photo.

• Assess visual contrast.

Eg stair handrails, stair nosings, ramps

• Hold phone within typical viewing angle for use of stairs, (typically 30-50^o) or ramps (typically 0-30^o).

• Take photo.

• Assess visual contrast.
